Strange days indeed.....

Happiness has been present yes, but there has been a constant, dull, slow sadness...
but then how long can one endure sadness?
one has to move on...
there is too much else in life than what makes one sad...
we may not understand the ways of the world or the ways in which the almighty operates...
the questions always remain...to come back and haunt us...
just when we think the answers don't matter...

'Acceptance brings relief'

Is not all of the above a part of everyone's lives at some point or the other? And do we all not learn in our own ways to accept? Acceptance of one's past, of the current situation one is in, of the things we cannot answer or can not change, brings in it's wake relief. A certain unburdening, a peacefulness we all want but many a times do not consciously know, we seek.

The past is gone
It went by like dusk to dawn

Isn't that the way
Everybody's got their dues in life to pay...

Conscious awareness of today, of the present, of the moment reiterates that each day is a new beginning. Each day of abstaining from the past offers us a chance to look ahead with hope. Conscious awareness of the power that is within us to move on strengthens us moment by moment, slowly but surely.

Yes agree about the lingering feeling of dullness and sadness. It could be the last leg of winter moving into summer-a change always brings an uneasy tempo;it could be what we read(MH) and hear these days or it could just be the post 40 syndrome setting in :( but why not sit up to believe that something WONDERFUL is on its way....

Yes Virni Agarwal, it could indeed be many or any of the things you rightly pointed out.Change, yes change, whether it be in the weather, the way of life,in age-sets,in relationships, in what we know to be true...yes change in any of these can be and times is testing, yet, change is the only constant, the only dynamic, and the sooner one accepts that the better. Thanks for your thoughtful comment. :)
